Tim Schweiger & the Middlemen play a Midwestern blend of indie pop and classic rock. Tim is the guy that plays guitar for Tommy Stinson [the Replacements, Guns N Roses, Soul Asylum], Paul Collins [the Beat, the Nerves], Peter Case [Plimsouls, the Nerves], the Midwest Beat and Trapper Schoepp & the Shades and writes his own songs, too. The Middle Men are the dudes that get to play them. Grantland says of Schweiger’s songwriting: “Stellar examples of classic, no frills rock songwriting that’s all chunky riffs and heartrending harmonies.” Tune into WMSE’s Local/Live at 6pm this Tuesday, April 29th to listen to Schweiger’s newest songs (new album, Selfie is set for release on May 6th ebacked up by his Middle Men.
