What was the first song or artist you played as a WMSE DJ?
So my first solo gig was Sunday at midnight, I was 27 when I started, so often times my shifts were preceded by Saturday night drinking. We had to train on air pretty extensively, so my very first song aired is kind of a mystery. But I’d say that there is a huge likelihood of it being Die Kreuzen, Husker Du or the Replacements.
My first interview is also lost to the fog of radio, I’ve done a ton over the years.
