The Directionals came from all directions initially, playing in various bands in Milwaukee for years, and finally came together to form a cohesive project in the Directionals in the summer of 2011. Immediately after banding together, The Directionals spent their time well, playing countless shows and released their first single “Serenade Of Fire” about a year later. “Serenade Of Fire” garnered a modest amount of national attention after being featured on Indie Rock Cafe as well as Los Angeles-based radio station, New Normal Music and European (via Luxembourg) radio, ARA FM.

The band recently finished a national tour, following the release of their debut, Shapes and Colors, produced by Mark Poe (The Directionals’ founding member). The band keeps up their release work ethic as they put the finishing touches on their next full-length, Omni, set for released in January of 2014. A new music video for the single, “Never What It Seems” is on the way as one of the first tracks to be released from the album; the band will be releasing exclusive tracks one by one for download. Listen to some of the new material at WMSE.org  (stream live or in the archives) or simply tune your radio dial to 91.7 on your FM dial at the 6 o’clock hour.
