While catching up on the weekend’s Boingboing postings, I stumbled upon this [above video] and immediately fell in love.
Don’t know how hardcore Wilco fans are going to feel about this, but as a casual Wilco listener who owns Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (and thus, this song), this cover tune did two things to me:
1. made me a fan of JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound, and
2. made me wonder what other softer indie rock jams Brooks & co., could breathe new and exciting life into.
(p.s. Of course Konee Rok would be involved with this, too. Dude hustles like a champion, and is one of my favorites.)
