STACIAN is the minimal synth project of Milwaukee native Dania Luck. Employing a barrage of analog and digital drum machines and synthesizers, STACIAN could be described as cold wave, synthpop or, more simply, dark electronic dance music. Influences lay within the spheres of post-punk, industrial, no-wave, kraut rock, 80’s style synth pop, and experimental synthesizer music. Influences include Kraftwerk, John Foxx, Cabaret Voltaire, Doris Norton, Throbbing Gristle, and many more similarly minimal and/or dance-oriented synth musicians. STACIAN is dance music for strange folk.
