Joe Pug’s Prine-like lyricism and songwriting have put him on stage with the likes of Emmylou Harris. and has secured Pug slots on most of America’s major festival line-ups, including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and the Newport Folk Fest. But before he because widely acclaimed as one of the best, next-generation, American songwriters, Pug was an artist fresh off of dropping out of school, quitting has carpentry job, and taking a huge leap of musical faith. Around that time, Joe Pug visited the WMSE studios for a performance of the song that helped launch him forward.
