During the WMSE 2016 Spring Membership Drive, we were able to do something that’s never happened before; we ended the drive a full 24 hours before the scheduled ending. We created a goal of $81,000 and not only was it met 24 hours before the end of the drive, but we exceeded our goal by raising a total of $85,064!
It is because of YOU that we were able to make fundraising history. Listener support makes up 2/3 of our budget. It is because of you that WMSE is able to air the most diverse music programming in any region of the country. And it is because of you that we were able to reach our fundraising goal and get back to normally scheduled programming a full day early.
Sound Citizen sustaining members are the sole reason why we are able to lower our on-air goal every drive and you all are the sole reason why we are on the air and creating music programming online. Your monthly support reduces the need for on-air fundraising while keeping the lights on and the music going.
