Tonight’s guest on Local/Live is 2morrow Evr After, formed from the ashes of famed local legends Woolton Parrish. Power-pop rock is makes it back around again with this five-piece of veteran rockers who have a few more rocking riffs up their collective sleeves, yet.
In a recent interview with Info Magazine, vocalist/guitarist Stacy Maloney mentions that he and his band mates have had a storied history. “Dan [Bubloz] and I have been playing together for many years, previously in a group called Woolton Parrish. Our bass player moved to Georgia, and Dan and I decided to put together a whole new band…and 2morrow Evr After came about through that…I would call it ‘Rock n’ Roll Noveau’. At some point in my head, I was thinking that people left the word ‘Roll’ off of ‘Rock n’ Roll’, and everything became Rock. When I look at some of the bigger ands such as the Beatles, the Who, Rolling Stones and the Kinks, they all did everything in their repertoire and at some point, a lot of that diversity in bands stopped, because it became important to target your market or audience. But we stretch pretty wide as a band; we don’t want to limit ourselves.”
Tune in to 91.7 FM, WMSE tonight at 8 p.m. to hear 2morrow Evr After, live on Local/Live, or stream online at WMSE.org. The band plays at the Miramar Theater at 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 28th.
