Since 2007, Milwaukee’s rock quartet No Sleep for the Bear have been playing all over the city, taking their energies from past projects (Perry, Albert Einstein, Free Ride and Uncanny Valley) and building these up into one solid, working band. Willing to be uniquely versatile, No Sleep for the Bear has shared stages with everyone from the Sandy Pelicans and Jay Flash to the Fatty Acids and We Are Your Father.
Their sound, much like the stage company they keep, runs the gamut of rock, psych, pop and jam with math-y technicalities. Tune in to 91.7 FM tonight at 8 p.m. or stream WMSE at WMSE.org, live or later in the archives. No Sleep for the Bear plays the Up and Under pub (1216 E. Brady) this Friday, April 9th for Summerfest’s Battle of the Bands.
