Shane English and Nick Tovarek’s latest project, Dream Attics is a subtle bedroom-eyes mix of easy beats and smooth vocals. Their broad experience influences the core of their unified sound – English (of the Gazzetiers) and Tovarek (of Kane Place Record Club) and Dream Attics has been receiving quite a bit of local media attention lately for their early-April debut release of Unbend. The EP, dreamed up at home, turned outward to be mastered by pro Joe Lambert (Washed Out, Animal Collective), who gives the right finesse to this collection of songs that call to mind likeminded locals, Fable & the World Flat, for the smooth prowess on the beats and melodic mindedness.
