WMSE’s Special Holiday Programming and Best of 2016 shows.
For the past 35 years, WMSE has hosted the most unique holiday music programming in Milwaukee. Keep it tuned to WMSE for the coolest holiday programming, including Paul Host’s 30th Christmas music marathon that kicks off at Noon on December 25th. Here are some of the highlights you have to look forward to this year:
Wednesday, Dec. 14, 6 a.m. to Noon
Haven will play an all Christmas synth music show this week! Expect lots of Hot Buttered Elves.

Ruadhan presents an “Around the World” holiday show.

Buzz for The Holidays featuring all your favorite punk and garage holiday tunes.

Alternating Currents DJ, Rob Szocik, takes over Tuesdays with Marty for an all Bob Dylan show.
Wednesday, Dec. 21, 12:30 – 3 p.m.
Squid Inc hosts guest Tyler Maas from the Milwaukee Record as they discuss favorite punk/alt holiday songs combined with the best local jams of 2016

Matt Schoeffler plays his top 30 albums of 2016

X-mass hair-ols show – all hair rock!

The Chicken Shack Christmas Show featuring typical Christmas good cheer songs of drinking, cheating, death, and prison.

Andy will play his annual, “Don’t Bite Santa, Dusty holiday spectacular” show.
Saturday, Dec. 24, Noon to 9 p.m.
Paul Host spins his legendary nine-hour holiday marathon show on Christmas Eve featuring obscure holiday songs like Pee Wee King “Rootin’ Tootin’ Santa Claus,” Rev Horton Heats “Run Run Rudolph,” and everyone’s childhood favorite Edgar Switchblade “Krampus Unmerciful.”
Sunday, Dec. 25, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The final performance of the MSO 2016 Season
Jason Wielispach will play peaceful music for a peaceful Christmas Day. He’s named his show, “Snow on The Radio Tower.”
